About

Nancy has worked with me here at Onalaska for the past 17 years. We have been through many ups and downs together. Everything from platewear, getting a dishwasher, all the way to covid. Taking care of our guests has always been Nancy’s priority from day one. Her constant reminder to “take care of people how you want to be treated,” is a motto she lives by every day. I can’t even begin to describe or explain how our guests just look forward to seeing Nancy. On her day’s off, I am asked most frequently: Where’s Nancy??? The best example I can give of Nancy’s true connection with our guests is her new “adopted grandchildren.” A family that comes in quite regularly with two elementary children really got to know Nancy. One day on of the children asked Nancy if she could be her grandma, since she didn’t have grandparents anymore. Nancy without hesitation said absolutely! She didn’t stray from this promise. She has visited them many times on holidays and special events in this families lives. Fast forward 10 years later, she is celebrating that little girls high school graduation with them!. I could honestly go on and on telling you stories of the impact Nancy has made on our guests and their families. The countless children she has given breadsticks to that now have families of their own. She is a true ambassador of the brand and I hope we can formally thank her and celebrate with her this milestone that she has yet to reach.
